Common Chinese-producer issues
Mistaking Amazon’s EU compliance hub for EPR registration. Amazon’s EU compliance tools assist with VAT and product safety; they do not register your producer status with eco-organisms. You still need a separate French EPR file.
Translating "registered" loosely. Chinese 营业执照 (business license) is the document eco-organisms ask for, not the Chinese tax registration. Provide the right document at the dossier filing.
Mismatched legal names. Chinese business licenses sometimes show the company name in both Chinese characters and Pinyin transliteration. Amazon Seller Central uses one; SYDEREP gets the other. Align them to avoid verification failures (see our IDU not on Amazon France guide for the diagnostic).
Batteries not declared. Producers register WEEE but skip batteries because the embedded cells "are not separate products." Marketplaces verify both — embedded batteries are in scope.
