Valobat is the main eco-organism for the new PMCB stream (Products and Materials of the Building sector), introduced in France on 1 January 2023.
Valobat collects and recycles construction waste from buildings: insulation, plasterboard, wood panels, flooring, tiles. Producers contribute by category and tonnage put on the French market. The scheme is the youngest and most rapidly evolving in France.
Producers and importers of construction materials destined for French construction sites or DIY retail. Includes US insulation brands selling on French DIY platforms, Chinese tile manufacturers exporting to French resellers, etc.
Valobat compliance is paperwork-heavy because the scheme is new. We track the regulatory updates and amend your declarations as the eco-contribution scale evolves. We also handle the segregation of inert versus non-inert materials in the declaration.
